A selected few images from a photoshoot that I organised and directed for the exam project of my AS year at college. The project was about fashion and promotion and so I photographed my model wearing lots of jewellery- this was the item or object I was trying to promote and sell to a predominantly female, teen market. As far as firsts go, I thought the photoshoot was great, I learnt a lot about camera angles and backgrounds and realised how much I loved photography.
The final images
This is what the final compositions looked like, photographed as tags that could be attached to anything from clothing to jewellery and other accessories. I really liked the way in which the pieces had a hand-made aesthetic to them, I used organza fabric as an overlay to give the tags a more interesting texture and also hand drew the floral patterns in the background which were inspired by an artist called pomme chan. The background image of the sea gave the images a surreal quality which I quite liked also.
