Personal Study

At College, we were set a personal study investigational essay into a subject of our choice in the second year of our A- Levels. The study had to be between 2000 and 3000 words and had to link to the project that we were undertaking at the time. As aforementioned, my project was about editorial fashion and the perception of women. The essay was thus based on the female form and how 'beauty' has been reinvented and presented differently throughout the decades via the media. I analysed the covers of 'Vogue' magazine, since it's the most prestigious high fashion magazine on the racks! I looked at covers from the 1960's to the most current issue at the time which was the December of 2010 featuring Emma Watson on the front. The essay information then had to be presented in a visually interesting and aesthetically beautiful way (since the subject matter was very glamorous, it was only fitting that the presentation of my study was done in a similar way also
